Jimmy "C." (a.k.a. James Cieslinski) has the desire to entertain, no matter what! He wants people laughing and enjoying themselves, and has accomplished this for over 35 years as a musician, Karaoke jockey and DJ.
The Rochester native attended Franklin High School where he met his wife, Nancy. At the time, Jimmy was playing in a band for a school dance. Over the years, he's been the lead singer for several Rochester area bands, including popular favorites like Spanky, Night Star and Sneekers, to name a few. Jimmy's stage presence was influenced by The Rustics and The Rascals. One of the Rascals, Gene Cornish, was a neighborhood friend.
Jimmy was one of the first people to bring Karaoke into the Rochester area. He estimates that he has entertained thousands, performing at over 1,300 weddings, 200 parties and nearly 400 magic shows. He works at all types of public and private events seven nights a week, and is now booked far in advance all over town. Besides all of his other accomplishments, Jimmy has made several radio and TV commericals. You might have heard him singing lead as part of the background for such commercials as Rochester Radio, Hair Zoo, Bill Gray's and many more.
Jimmy "C's" newest touch is magic. He loves it so much, and is such a natural that he's been elected "Magician of the Year" by the Society of American Magicians for three years in a row. Jimmy greatly enjoys entertaining people close up and magic brings him face to face with his audience. People stop him everywhere and ask for tricks! As president of IBM (International Brotherhood of Magicians), Jimmy lectures and teaches, supporting new magicians.
Jimmy "C.'s" Music Machine is still going strong and you can catch Jimmy & company at the following spots: Mondays & Wednesdays at Norton's Pub; Wednesdays at Elmwood Inn; Thursdays at Pineapple Jack's; Fridays at The Coach & Curley's and Fridays & Saturdays at Overtime Sports Bar.
